History
The Ice Lynx program was developed in 2017 following the advent of the Lynx women’s hockey program. At this time, there were only five girls skating in the entire association. The goal was to develop a place for girls to play and grow the game. The first year, the Ice Lynx played as a developmental team. The program has seen explosive growth and quickly developed into multiple teams at the 8u level as well as 10u and 12u level teams. In 2019/20, the 6u mini mite program developed and has a strong number of female skaters. The 4u program was developed in 2021.
In its young history, the Ice Lynx have seen rapid success. The 10u team qualified for state in its first season and has qualified each season since. They placed 4th in state in 2021. The Ice Lynx teams are competing strongly in tournaments and bringing home hardware! Most importantly, they are having fun, forming bonds with their teammates and learning important life skills.
