The Washington County Ice Lynx 10U Girls team put up a strong showing this last weekend, winning both of their games in convincing fashion.

Saturday's game had them matched up against the Ozaukee Ice Dogs 10U -B team. Goaltender Gwen was a brick-wall, stopping all but one of their shots on goal. The Defenders played dominantly keeping the puck inside the Ozaukee Zone leading to a 6-1 victory. Scoring their first goals of the season were F-Emma Bruening, C-Jillian Croasdaile, C-Bryn Schairer, C-Eva Lemmer, and F-Julia Jilling. Coach Mark Schairer only had this to say after the game, "That was awesome."

Sunday's matchup put the Ice Lynx against the Fox River Freeze 10U-B team. This B-team has a few first-year skaters that were aged 12, but that didn't stop the Ice Lynx from clawing their way to a 4-0 shut-out victory.  Scoring their first goals of the season were Corah Pouzar and Jacie Smith.  Gwen recorded her first shut-out in between the pipes. The win was a dominant one and saw the Ice Lynx out-shooting the Freeze 17-1.  "It was a real team-victory. Everyone skated well, passed the puck, and took shots. It was fun to watch," one fan was quoted after the game.  "We should have the Squirt boys come watch these girls play. They could stand to learn something from them," another dad said.  If the Ice Lynx can keep this vibe going into travel season, they're going to be really exciting to watch.  Congratulations on the 2-0 weekend Ice Lynx!
