Participants must complete their 5000 shots by the first day of 2011/2012 practice.
Parents, this is a goal-based learning program designed to teach your child the difficulties and rewards of long term planning. This life skill will go a long way if you help to monitor and encourage them.
The point we need you to take from this is that if this works for shooting 5000 pucks why can’t this same process work for getting an A in school, making the A team in hockey or any other goals you want to reach. Very simply set your goal based on what you want, develop a plan to reach that goal and then follow through with that plan.
The challenge is written within the spirit of a 10 week program, but feel free to complete it in stages. We ask that you keep to the progression of the shots as there is a skill benefit to their order.
Through practice we make consistency, if not, perfection.
